 Art of Amber - an international artistic seminary
The meetings of artists aiming at cooperation and exchange of experience and ideas have a rich tradition. Nowadays, when it is easy to communicate and travel, international meetings of that kind became very interesting. Open air, workshops, artistic seminaries are a regular and important part of creative work in various kinds of art.
The painting or sculpture open air is nothing new in Poland, yet they do not gather much public, whereas that kind of events as far as artistic jewellery is concerned are still new and rare.
The outcome of such projects in the form of visible creative works presented at the exhibitions and in catalogues together with international contact development, sponsor promotion, establishing new professional contacts between participating artists/designers and the companies organising the events and also the educational results prove that they are worth seeing.
ART of AMBER project has every chanse to become a unique event on the world scale and in the end a very important instrument of amber and Gdansk Amber Centre promotion.
A lot of internationally recognised artists participate in the project, which guarantees that the foreign media are interested in it, and so free of charge publications are possible.
The catalogue includes the event documentation and the exhibition of works, which can be offered to best galleries both in Poland and abroad. It can prolong the promotion for the followong year and make sure that this project will be held every year.
Every year semianaries will become the source of showpieces to amber collection made by world artists. Such a collection would be unique and could be still exhibited as a deposit of Museum of Amber being GAC's flagship at the same time.
The catalogues would become obligatory items in all libraries connected with amber jewellery. They would be indispensable for universities, artists, galleries, warehouses and producers.
Much more could be added to the results of the project operation, presented above. Yet, their authenticity has been checked several times and so, according to my 35 years of experience in this field, they are 100% true.
